Who I am

Atlantic Wave was founded in 2007 by Bill Barry, bringing 35+ years of hands-on project execution experience to owners facing complex capital delivery challenges. 

Unlike strategy consulting firms that offer frameworks, I provide judgment built from direct accountability. I've been on-site during commissioning failures at 2 AM, written project execution plans that succeeded (and reviewed dozens that didn't), and managed handovers on facilities still operating today.

 I work independently of EPCs, contractors, and system integrators, bringing in specialized consultants as projects require specific technical depth. This ensures you get senior-level expertise focused on actual delivery risk, not a team of associates interpreting someone else's experience. 

 Direct involvement in 150+ major programs across six continents, with particular focus on first-of-kind energy transition assets where execution precedent is limited.

Three Ways to Engage

I work in one of three modes, depending on where your project is

Front-End Assurance

Pre-FID through detailed design. Independent review of execution strategy, contract structure, and readiness to proceed.

Delivery Oversight

Construction through commissioning. Ongoing risk-based monitoring with monthly executive reporting.

Recovery Support

Troubled projects. Diagnostic assessment and owner-side support to regain control.

Most engagements begin with a 2–4 week diagnostic to establish baseline risk and define scope.

When projects require specific technical depth, I bring in specialized consultants for work packaging, commissioning readiness, quality systems, and CMMS integration.
